Yes, there a lot of bad parents it seems in Fruits Baskets. Well, bad or dead. I'd still love my kid even if he turned into an animal every time I hugged him. (Okay, easy to say now - if it actually happened I'd probably freak the fuck out!
Yeah, after reading a bunch of terrible YnM stories, I pretty much concluded it was too hard and never attempted myself either. But I'm sure you'd be great - you are very sensitive to issues of characterization so I'd trust you. :)
And on a strange side note, I checked out the youtube link that dentelle_noir had on her site to a Ouran High School Host Club AMV, and several of the follow-up suggestion links were to YnM AMVs. So apparently Youtube is reading my livejournal now. ARRRGGGHHHH. The world has gotten way too creepy for me lately! All Cookies Must Die!!!! (Except fresh chocolate chip ones, perhaps.)
