It's finally happened....

Yes, stress and loneliness have done the inevitable - driven me to write fanfic (obviously). Such a strange combination of self-analysis and total fantasy. I feel so LAME! BUT, at least I can say I've finally finished something. And I haven't been able to say that for quite some time.

So, I will attempt to post it here, and if it works, I might even set about trying to recruit people to read it.

Disclaimer to my friends

And for my friends out there who may be totally embarrassed to know me now that I've posted a fanfic, if you didn't read my story, I totally understand and please don't forsake me completely! It's a weird genre and I can't really explain my obsession. There's the porn aspect, of course, which is lovely for a single girl, and obviously lasses like porn just as much as the lads - we just usually like to wrap our porn in pesky, over-emotional storylines. But it's not just the porn - there's also just the enjoyment of seeing what other people do with the same characters. Infinite combinations and interpretations. One of my all time favorites is a story where our favorite Potterverse lycanthrope wakes up after a full moon and finds himself out in the middle of nowhere with a little girl who has the same problem. No sex, no creepy sexual overtones, just a sweet story of a grownup werewolf helping out a cub in distress. Dunno. To me it just beats sitting around watching people crawl around with bugs for prize money.

Well, that was an unexpected digression. Once I get started it's hard to shut me up! Anyway, guess I should stop wallowing in the wonderful world of fantasy and get back to work. (Grad school is a total bitch, man!!) Anyway, I miss you guys, so please don't shun me for being such a geek! \^^/
