D'oh - so behind on the flist. And now that classes are starting, I'm sure to get even further behind. But in the meantime, since someone asked, I figured I'd go ahead post this ages late.

Weeeeeellllll... guess it's time for Confessions of a Nerdy Fangirl. :) I came across the phrase 'lukon idein' when looking for wolf-related monikers because the thing that prompted me to finally bite the bullet and sign up for an LJ account was my love of, yup, big surprise, everyone's favorite werewolf, Remus Lupin. So I started flipping through my (ancient) Greek dictionary and this phrase caught my eye. It literally means 'to see a wolf' but it was used as an idiom that meant 'to be struck dumb' and it seemed appropriate to me since I had been so amazed by the talented writers I'd been reading on LJ. And since it's a big mouthful, I kinda shortened to Lukoni for practical, human use. That's it really. And I still love Remus (despite my loathing of David Thewlis and his treatment, or lack thereof, in the last two books).
Um, and I don't really have many friends so I won't try to force them into following up with their own stories. Though I will admit that I was curious about
lil_1337 and looked it up leading me to amazingly long session on Wikipedia learning all about leetspeak. SCARY! I'd picked up a few words here and there because they are used so frequently but I'd never realized how extensive it is! Am so NOT a gamer. Can you tell? :P
